This page explains what data may be processed when you use icalendar.co.uk, in particular for advertising (Prebid, Google Ad Manager and Google AdX), and how you can exercise your choices.
1. Data controller
The data controller is Codestible (French company ID: SIRET 501 808 059 00072), publisher of icalendar.co.uk.
Address: 12 allée du port Maillard, 44000 Nantes, France
Contact: contact@icalendar.co.uk
UK users: if you are in the United Kingdom, the UK GDPR may apply to the processing of your personal data.
2. Data that may be processed
Depending on your use of the website and your choices (consent), the following categories of data may be processed:
- Technical data: IP address (often truncated depending on configuration), browser type, operating system, language, technical identifiers, referring URL, timestamps.
- Advertising-related data: cookie / local storage identifiers, advertising identifiers, consent/refusal signals (e.g. an IAB TCF consent string), ad delivery and measurement data (impressions, clicks, frequency capping, anti-fraud).
- Preferences: your privacy choices (accept/reject by purpose and/or by partner, depending on the consent tool/CMP).
The site does not require you to create an account.
3. Purposes
Processing may be carried out to:
- Display ads and fund the website.
- Measure ad performance (impressions, clicks, frequency capping).
- Prevent fraud and ensure security and proper operation.
- If you choose: personalised / interest-based advertising (profiling).
4. Legal basis (UK GDPR) and cookies rules (PECR)
- Consent: for non-essential cookies and similar technologies, and for advertising-related processing where consent is required.
- Legitimate interests: for security, fraud prevention and limited technical logging (where appropriate).
In the UK, the use of cookies and similar technologies is also governed by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), which generally require consent for non-essential cookies.
5. Advertising: Prebid, Google Ad Manager, Google AdX
icalendar.co.uk is monetised via:
- Prebid (header bidding): competition between advertising buyers.
- Google Ad Manager and Google AdX: ad serving and auction via Google’s advertising ecosystem.
Depending on your consent settings, third parties (advertisers/SSPs/DSPs/measurement and anti-fraud providers) may receive certain data (e.g. advertising identifiers, IP address, consent signals) to deliver and measure ads.
6. Retention
- Consent choices: kept for a reasonable period (commonly 6–12 months) or until you change them.
- Security / technical logs: kept only as long as necessary.
- Advertising cookies: retention varies by partner (see their policies). For TCF vendors, retention details may be available in the vendor list (see section 8.d).
7. International transfers
Advertising partners may process data outside the UK (and sometimes outside the EEA). Where required, international transfers are handled using appropriate safeguards under UK data protection law (e.g. contractual safeguards).
